About the qigong institute

Qigong Institut Schweiz was founded in 2011 in Baar (Canton of Zug) by Dr. med. Qi Wang and Stephan Friederich. Our motivation was simple yet far-reaching: to make the healing power of Qigong – particularly Zhineng (Wisdom) Qigong – accessible in Switzerland.

Zhineng Qigong combines traditional Chinese medicine with modern science and meditation. It was developed by Prof. Dr. med. Pang Ming and is suitable for people of all ages, regardless of physical fitness or prior experience.

Our vision is to integrate conventional medicine, Qigong, psychology, and other effective methods into a holistic approach to health. To this end, we regularly collaborate with experienced Qigong masters from China and invite them as guest instructors to our seminars.

Our offerings include introductory courses, weekly online classes with recordings for practice during the week, day and weekend seminars, fasting Qigong, spinal Qigong, retreats, and a three-year Qigong teacher training programme. Allmost all courses are available on-site in Baar or online.
